Wedding DJ Alan G-Professional DJ Or Band DJ?

Professional DJ versus the band DJ:
Many bands now offer a DJ service as part of their package, claiming that there will be a gap in the music with an independent DJ, and its is less hassle to use their DJ.
This is a cynical ploy, and I feel I must put a few issues straight on the matter.

Firstly, there are no gaps in the music when I or any other professional DJ plays after a band.
Unlike the band DJ who has already been working for several hours playing, the professional DJ arrives fresh and enthusiastic. It's their area of expertise and needless to say this will show in the highest level of entertainment.

I have also come across instances where the band has told the clients that they must use their DJ. Again, this is not true.
The band may offer the DJ at a discounted rate. However if you are unsatisfied with what they do, then is it really a saving?
A DJ is usually one of the cheaper elements of wedding day.
Don’t risk sub standard entertainment on the biggest day of you life.
Use a professional DJ.
